Marseille, Valbonne, Nice, France, 2014 June 20 - Provence Technologies, IPMC (Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology Institute), ICN (Nice Chemistry Institute), and Genochem, are reunited within a common project, which is to develop a molecule that inhibits the resistance of some cells to chemotherapy. Indeed, in 25% of cancer cases, a cell signaling pathway called "Hedgehog pathway" is activated, which has the effect of increasing the resistance of cancer cells of chemotherapeutic agents.

This partnership project is supported by the Regional Council of Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur as part of its priority areas of research.
